How Advantage Rigging Ensures Quality and Safety in Every Product - Advantage Rigging Gilbert, AZ
Because in rigging, “almost” isn’t an option.
When you’re lifting real weight in the real world, quality and safety aren’t buzzwords—they’re the difference between a clean pick and a bad day. At Advantage Rigging, we build, source, and ship gear that crews trust on job sites, in plants, and on the road. That trust isn’t accidental. It comes from clear standards, tight processes, and a simple rule:
If it isn’t right, it doesn’t ship.
Below is how we prioritize quality and safety without fluff—and without promising what we can’t guarantee.
1) Built by pros, not just picked from a shelf
Some jobs need off-the-shelf hardware. Others need a sling built for your exact lift. We do both—smartly.
-
In-house assemblies (chain slings):
Assembled in America by techs who understand the math, the angles, and the reality under the hook. We follow ASME B30.9 practices for assembly and inspection of chain slings. -
Stocked hardware:
Sourced from trusted manufacturers that meet applicable ASME/OSHA requirements. We verify specs and visually inspect before fulfillment.
No mystery metal. No shrugging at specs. Just gear we’re willing to put our name on.
2) Proof where it matters: proof-testing our assembled chain slings
“Looks good” isn’t the bar. For chain slings we assemble in-house, we conduct proof tests to verify integrity and confirm Working Load Limit (WLL) under controlled conditions.
What you get with a proof-tested sling:
-
Permanent identification tag (grade, size, reach, WLL)
-
Traceable documentation available with the order
-
OSHA/ASME alignment appropriate to the product and use
Need proof testing on other qualifying items? Available upon request. Tell us your lift, we’ll advise what applies.
Straight talk: We proof-test the chain slings we assemble. For other products, we verify manufacturer specs and perform pre-shipment visual inspections. That keeps our promise accurate—and your expectations clear.
3) Materials that earn their keep
You can’t build reliable gear out of questionable steel.
-
Alloy chain: We stock Grade 80 and Grade 100 from proven U.S. suppliers for durability, fatigue resistance, and consistent performance.
-
Fittings: Clevis grab, sling, foundry, and self-locking hooks—rated for their job and matched to the chain and master links they run with.
Better inputs, better lifts, fewer surprises.
4) Inspections that actually catch things
Before anything ships, it gets eyes on it. Our team checks:
-
Chain and hook integrity (nicks, wear, deformation, corrosion)
-
Latch and pin security
-
Assembly alignment and component compatibility
-
Tag accuracy (WLL, reach, grade, size) for slings we assemble
-
Order accuracy and documentation where applicable
If something’s off, it’s pulled and corrected. No exceptions.
5) Documentation when it counts
Compliance shouldn’t be a scavenger hunt. For in-house assembled, proof-tested chain slings, we provide the proper ID tagging and traceable documentation with your order. For other qualifying items, certs and paperwork are available on request—just ask when you place the order.
6) Safety isn’t a feature—it’s the foundation
We help customers stay aligned with OSHA 1910.184 and ASME B30.9 through:
-
Rigging inspections (scheduled or project-based)
-
Replacement tags and component swaps for service-worn slings
-
Proof testing and recertification for qualifying gear
-
Practical guidance on angles, geometry, and WLL so your plan matches reality
Remember: Equipment ages. With proper inspection and documentation, it can stay in service safely—not just “longer.”
7) People you can actually talk to
When you call 480-502-2225, you’re not routed into a maze. You get someone who knows the difference between a pretty catalog photo and a lift that won’t behave. We’ll help you:
-
Choose the right sling setup for your load and connection points
-
Understand how angle reduces capacity (and how to plan around it)
-
Decide when proof testing or documentation is warranted
-
Keep your records clean for audits and site requirements
8) Continuous improvement (because standards evolve)
We keep pace with changing standards and improve our internal checks so you don’t have to babysit your supplier. That includes:
-
Updating inspection protocols and checklists
-
Tightening traceability in our documentation flow
-
Training our team so the right decisions happen at the bench, not after the fact
What this means for your crew
-
Clarity: You know what’s proof-tested, what’s inspected, and what documentation you’ll receive.
-
Confidence: Assemblies built to standard with materials that last.
-
Support: Real help, not stock answers.
-
Speed without shortcuts: We move fast—but never past a critical step.
When you need more than “in stock”
From straight vertical picks to awkward, multi-leg lifts, we’ll spec, assemble, and document what the job demands—without over-promising and without leaving you guessing.
